600g Professional Meteorological Weather Balloon, Project Aether brand. Diameter at release = 6 ft. Diameter at burst altitude = 20 ft. Volume at release = 50-100 cuft. Nominal Lift = 3.8 lbs. Maximum Lift = 12 lbs. Neck diameter = 2.8 inches. Neck length = 9 inches. Ascent rate = 1000 ft/min. Burst altitude = 100,000 ft. Material = Natural latex. Great for tethered and free-floating aerial photography projects. These are high performance scientific weather balloons and the normal inflation diameter is 6 ft on the ground. As the balloons ascend, they will expand to 30 ft in diameter and then pop. Be sure to wear gloves (soft gardening gloves, latex, or nitrile) at all times when handling the balloon. Also be sure to inflate the balloon on a soft cloth or tarp and keep the balloons away from sharp objects (including eye glasses or highly gelled hair) during inflation.
